Bloomberg stated that Europe is likely to face "storms" in the energy sector sooner than expected due to the heat, and during this period, the region will not be adequately prepared for the chaos that will ensue. According to the agency, experts from American space technology company Maxar predict that temperatures in parts of Britain and France will reach record levels at the beginning of this week. Despite the growth in solar energy production, this also increases the demand for cooling and leads to a rise in global liquefied natural gas prices. Specialists at Rystad Energy believe that high temperatures will prevent Europe from replenishing its gas reserves ahead of winter. Consequently, storage levels on the continent remain below normal for this time of year. It is noted that this periodic wave of hot weather is the second in the last month in Western Europe. Scientists directly link this phenomenon to climate warming and global warming and warn of a potential increase in wildfires, which have already been recorded in France, Portugal, Greece, and Spain, leading to the destruction of thousands of hectares of forest.
