Cameroon National Team Qualifies to Face Winner Between Egypt and Morocco

The Cameroon national team won against Gambia with a score of 2-0 during the match held on Saturday at the Japoma Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. Karl Toko Ekambi opened the scoring for Cameroon in the 50th minute of the match, before adding a second goal just 7 minutes later.

With this victory, Cameroon becomes the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, awaiting the outcome of the remaining matches. This marks the tenth time Cameroon has reached the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations, having previously achieved this in 9 past editions, the most recent being when they won the title in 2017.

Gambia's historic run in their first participation in the tournament came to an end after they defeated Tunisia in the group stage and progressed past Guinea in the Round of 16.

It is noteworthy that Cameroon will face the winner of the match between Egypt and Morocco, scheduled for Sunday at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
