The head of the doctors' union in Lebanon, Sharaf Abou Sharaf, confirmed that the National Committee for Managing the COVID-19 Vaccine file has established a distribution plan for the vaccine.
According to Al-Jadeed TV, Abou Sharaf stated that priority will be given to medical and nursing staff, the elderly, and those with chronic diseases. He mentioned that the purpose of pre-registration is to regulate the timing and numbers to organize the vaccination process and avoid chaos. He added, "Anyone who wishes to receive the vaccine will be able to register and fill out a form through an electronic platform at the ministry dedicated to the vaccine, and doctors will be able to register through the doctors' union."
Earlier, the Lebanese Parliament approved a law allowing the import of vaccines against the coronavirus, based on requests from foreign companies producing the vaccine that will contract with their Lebanese counterparts to supply it.
