Border Demarcation: Lebanon Between Hunger and Darkness

Lebanon is grappling with living crises on all levels, primarily marked by a shortage of wheat and flour, threatening a complete blackout by the end of next month if the Iraqi agreement is not renewed or if an alternative is not secured from Egypt or Jordan. Politically, the formation of the government seems to be becoming a thing of the past, given the mutual and persistent conditions between the President and the Prime Minister-designate. Meanwhile, the presidential file is advancing with the emergence of "natural" candidates, alongside the issue of border demarcation and oil exploration. In the meantime, the only breakthrough to break this stalemate is the anticipated return of the American mediator in the border demarcation file, expected at the beginning of next month, who will bring Israel's response to Lebanon's proposal in light of the recent equation from "Hezbollah": "No oil exploration in the enemy entity if Lebanon does not extract its oil." In this context, informed sources revealed that the demarcation file is no longer solely between Lebanon and Israel; it has become part of the regional confrontation.
