The families of the victims of the Beirut port explosion believe that the election of members to the Supreme Council for the Trial of Presidents and Ministers is a part of their diabolical games to evade investigation and to prevent their prosecution for any crime, and this will not go unchallenged.
The victims' families questioned in their statement: How can a criminal hold themselves accountable? How can we trust the justice of a court that has never operated in our history? Therefore, we demand the recognition of the judicial authority to prosecute ministers in the case of the Beirut port explosion. We are advocating for the passage of the law to protect the silos at the port, as what occurred on August 4 is a crime one hundred percent against all Lebanese people.
