The indoor hall in the new administrative capital hosted the match between the Algerian national team and the Moroccan national team in Group 6 of the Handball World Cup.
The Algerian team achieved a thrilling victory over its Moroccan counterpart with a score of 24-23.
Despite a strong start from the Moroccan team, which ended the first half with a seven-point lead at 15-8, the Algerian team managed to return to the game in the second half, scoring 16 goals and allowing their opponent to score only 8 times.
With this win, the Algerian team topped Group 6 alongside the Portuguese team, which later defeated Iceland with a score of 25-23.
