Lebanese MP Nadim Gemayel emphasized that Lebanon has no peace dilemma with any party, stating: 'We have no peace complex with anyone, not with Israel or any other,' underscoring that the Lebanese people desire excellent relations with all neighboring countries, provided there is no interference in Lebanon’s affairs or ambitions for its lands.
During his speech at Sassine Square on the anniversary of President Bachir Gemayel, Nadim Gemayel declared his vision for Lebanon as the one defined by Bachir, extending over 10,452 km². He warned against distorting this ideal into a region of hatred, senseless conflict, and loyalty to anything but Lebanon.
Gemayel stressed that only the failure to disarm Hezbollah could spark a civil war, questioning the notion that elements within the army might owe alliances outside the military, urging to empower the army and expressing confidence it will not divide.
He criticized the ongoing actions, which he described as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and militias 'digging into our mountains,' questioning how the world can take Lebanon seriously while this continues, cautioning against turning Lebanon into a replica of Bint Jbeil and Ali Tahir.
Gemayel concluded by affirming a significant disappointment over the state's incapacity and absence.
