The American electronics and technology giant Apple has added new workouts to its Fitness+ service, available on the Apple Watch. CNET, a technology-focused website, reported that the Fitness+ subscription, which costs $10 a month, now includes new workouts aimed at pregnant women, seniors, as well as those who consider themselves beginners in exercising or who have returned after a long break from physical activity.
Jay Blahnik, Senior Director of Fitness Technologies at Apple, stated, "By providing more options to start exercising and continue staying active during pregnancy, along with options for all ages and fitness levels, we hope to inspire more people to keep moving through our amazing team of enthusiastic trainers."
He mentioned that the new workouts will be available starting tomorrow, Monday. It is noteworthy that Apple Fitness+ was first launched at the end of last year with a wide range of workouts to choose from, including yoga, cycling, dancing, walking, and strength training, as well as relaxation exercises.
Fitness+ workout classes are streamed on iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV, with the Apple Watch used to display exercise metrics and statistics on its screen. In addition to the new workouts, Apple is adding new trainers to Fitness+, and announced that the next episode of the "Time to Walk" workout will feature actress and activist Jane Fonda.
