The Yemeni army thwarted a failed attack by the Houthi militia on Tuesday at the Al-Mushajh front west of Marib, resulting in the death of more than 13 militia fighters, including field leaders, and the wounding of dozens more. A military source from the third military region stated that the Houthi militia launched an attack that lasted several hours on military positions in the Al-Mushajh front; however, the heroes of the national army and the resistance managed to repel the attack, forcing the militia to retreat and flee after inflicting heavy losses in equipment and lives, according to the Yemeni news agency. The source also added that the army's artillery launched intensive shelling on the militia's positions, gatherings, and reinforcements, managing to kill and injure dozens of militia members.
A military source for the armed forces' media center confirmed on Monday that the army and resistance forces were able to drive Houthi elements from several locations in the area after fierce battles that inflicted heavy casualties on the militia in both lives and equipment. Additionally, it was reported that army forces arrested a group of militia members and recovered weapons and various quantities of ammunition.
