The Brazilian club Corinthians has expressed interest in signing Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who is looking to leave Manchester United this summer, through the club's president, Duilio Monteiro Alves. In an interview with the program Ulissescast, as reported by the Spanish newspaper "Marca," the Corinthians president said: "This is true; I have big dreams."
He added: "This is Corinthians; don’t we have Willian and Renato Augusto here? In football, anything is possible. I am committed to giving my best for the team." He concluded, "Is this possible? I don’t know; we haven’t tried yet, but we are monitoring Ronaldo's situation; he may suddenly want to play in the Brazilian league."
The 37-year-old Portuguese star is having a tough time at Manchester United, facing the prospect of participating in the Europa League for the first time since the 2002-2003 season. Ronaldo is looking to leave the "Old Trafford" fortress this summer to participate in the Champions League.
