Shock for 2,700 Employees: Layoffs via Video

Glen Fogel, the CEO of Booking Holdings, laid off over 2,700 support staff through a video message. Regarding the reasons for the layoffs, Fogel indicated that it was part of a company restructuring plan, and the tasks of these employees would be transferred to the business services company Majorel within six months, according to Russia Today. According to the official, the laid-off workers will have the opportunity for employment at Majorel, although they will be terminated without guarantees of severance pay. In the video, the CEO mentioned that Majorel would oversee 12-14 customer service centers, while the centers in Amsterdam and Manchester would remain under Booking's management.
