Will the United States Send Troops to Ukraine?

John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, reiterated that the U.S. administration does not intend to send troops to Ukraine. Kirby stated that even if the fighting continues there for a longer period, the U.S. administration does not plan to deploy forces to Ukraine. In response to a question about how long the fighting in Ukraine could continue, Kirby said, "I don’t think anyone can give a precise answer." However, he recalled previous statements from the U.S. side indicating that "the conflict could be lengthy."
