Al-Hilal has crowned the title of the Mohammed bin Salman League for the third consecutive time and the 18th in its history after winning today against Al-Faisaly 2-1 in the conclusion of the 30th and final week of the tournament.
Al-Hilal's two goals were scored by the Nigerian international striker Odion Ighalo in the 7th and 64th minutes, while Brazilian Claison Vieira scored the only goal for Al-Faisaly in the 70th minute.
With this victory, Al-Hilal raised its points tally to 67, leading by two points over its closest competitor, Al-Ittihad, which was held to a goalless draw by its guest Al-Batin in a match also played today.
Al-Hilal has won the Saudi league title for the third time in a row and the 18th time in its history, marking the fifth title in the last six years, and achieved the best comeback in the history of the Saudi league after being 16 points behind the leading Al-Ittihad.
Additionally, Al-Hilal's striker Ighalo was awarded the title of the best scorer in the Saudi league this season, having scored 24 goals.
