Social media influencer Badr Khalaf stirred controversy on social media after criticizing the controversial Saudi activist Hind Al-Qahtani.
Khalaf attacked Al-Qahtani for filming her daughter from behind, justifying her position by claiming that a woman's body is not a private matter. He responded, saying, "This is the words of the Prophet, and you must follow them, it's not up to you." He continued, "And the dirty East you mention, those people are your relatives and your crowd, and all your money comes from them, right? One should be ashamed of themselves before saying such things. I pretend to be a girl, but I have never disrespected society or worn revealing clothes," adding that there is a difference between freedom and religious boundaries.
Badr Khalaf expected his remark to be well-received by followers; however, he was surprised by the harsh and hurtful responses demanding he look at himself before passing judgments, claiming that someone who publicly displays deviance shouldn't offer advice to anyone.
Social media platforms shared a video clip showing Hind Al-Qahtani's daughter, Ruwa, during her mother’s filming of her, which made the child feel embarrassed, asking her not to film her from behind. Nevertheless, Al-Qahtani continued the filming normally, sparking anger among viewers.
