A statement was issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance: "A patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence managed to thwart a human smuggling operation by sea in the Qalamoun area - Tripoli, using a boat moored at a resort in the mentioned area. They arrested 31 individuals, including women and children, who were on the verge of departure.
Additionally, a quantity of diesel (134 gallons of 20 liters each), around 30 life vests, water gallons, and personal belongings were seized onboard the boat. The confiscated items were handed over, investigations were initiated, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend those involved in the smuggling operation."
