The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the return of units from the Southern Military District to their permanent deployment locations following military exercises in the Crimea Peninsula. In a statement issued by the ministry on Wednesday, it was mentioned: "Military equipment belonging to the Southern Military District units crossed the Crimea Bridge by train on its way to their permanent deployment points." The statement added that after this equipment arrives at their bases, it will be prepared for a new phase of military exercises. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced yesterday, Tuesday, the beginning of the return of military equipment and soldiers from the Southern Military District to their bases after the exercises concluded. For his part, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, stated on Tuesday that some of the military personnel participating in the joint Russian-Belarusian exercises "Union Resolve 2022" are returning to their permanent deployment locations. He added that all units participating in these exercises would return to their bases after the exercises conclude on February 20.
