Title: "Racism" Prevents Atletico from 5,000 Fans in Match Against Man City

Title:

On Monday, UEFA ordered Atlético Madrid to close a section of their "Wanda Metropolitano" stadium for their match against Manchester City in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday, due to "discriminatory behavior" from some of their fans. Atlético, who lost 0-1 in England in the first leg, must determine which sections to close, and "these must include at least 5,000 seats" with a sign reading "No to Racism," according to UEFA's disciplinary body, as reported by Agence France-Presse.

UEFA opened a disciplinary investigation on Friday against the Spanish champions due to the "discriminatory behavior" of their supporters during the first leg match last Tuesday, as well as for "throwing projectiles." Meanwhile, the Madrid newspaper Marca broadcast a video showing Atlético fans performing a Nazi salute in the stands of the Etihad Stadium. According to the Manchester Evening News, city police arrested several individuals and launched proceedings against them for racism and violence.
