His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, and Minister of Defense, received His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, at the Royal Court at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah today. The Crown Prince held a session of talks with the Emir of Qatar, welcoming him and his accompanying delegates to the Kingdom. He conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who in turn expressed his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his happiness with the visit to the Kingdom and meeting the Crown Prince.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince and the Emir exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the approaching Eid al-Fitr, praying to Allah to accept good deeds from everyone and to return this blessed occasion to the Islamic nation with dignity, empowerment, and further progress and prosperity.
The session reviewed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields, and ways to support and develop it, along with discussing regional and international developments and the efforts being made regarding them.
Attending the talks were His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers; His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Dr. Musaad bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, and National Security Advisor; and His Excellency Mr. Yasser bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, Governor of the Public Investment Fund.
From the Qatari side, the session was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatari Olympic Committee; Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani; Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Head of the Emiri Diwan; and His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari, Minister of Trade and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance.
