An infant in the city of Ticușoara, Romania, died after being violently beaten by his father. The police arrested the accused father, while the mother, "Monora," was taken to a shelter for young women who have experienced abuse in Bucharest. After the infant was severely beaten by his father, he was transported in a coma to a medical clinic in the municipality where the family resides. The medical staff were shocked by the extent of the child's injuries, describing him as "disfigured, weak, with closed eyes, and bruises around his mouth," and he was experiencing breathing problems and was in a deplorable condition.
The clinic sent the child to a hospital, according to Romanian media, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Tests revealed that he suffered from fractures and internal bleeding. The 24-year-old father admitted to beating the infant but claimed, according to Spy News, that it happened unintentionally while he was asleep. The father and mother met on the social media site "Facebook" in 2017. Neighbors reported that they were living in miserable conditions with very low income. The father often abused her, but she rarely left the house; she is now receiving psychological counseling in the women's shelter.
