Manchester United has officially failed to qualify for the Champions League after being defeated 4-0 by Brighton & Hove Albion today, Saturday, in the 36th round of the Premier League. Brighton ended the first half with a goal from player Moises Caicedo in the 15th minute. In the second half, Marc Cucurella added the second goal for Brighton (49th minute), Pascal Groß scored the third goal for the home team in the 58th minute, and Leandro Trossard capped off Brighton's quartet (60th minute). With this defeat, Manchester United's points remain at 58, placing them sixth and ending the team's hopes of reaching a Champions League qualifying position, while Brighton increased their tally to 47 points, sitting in ninth place.
