WhatsApp Aims to Launch

WhatsApp is working on a new "Stealth Mode" that hides your online status. This feature will allow users to use the app without their friends or contacts knowing. According to WABetaInfo, which discovered the feature first, there may be various reasons why people want to use WhatsApp in stealth mode: for instance, some users may wish to use WhatsApp without being disturbed by others or may feel stalked by someone.

WABetaInfo found the feature in the iOS beta version but claims it will also be available for Android and Desktop. WABetaInfo wrote in a blog post: "Unfortunately, this feature is still in development, so we do not know the details about when it will be released to the public."

Last month, WhatsApp rolled out another feature that allows users to take their message history with them when switching from Android to iPhone. WhatsApp users can securely transfer their app data to an iPhone using the "Move to iOS" app available in the App Store. The Move to iOS feature is already used for switching other phone data, including contacts, photos, and videos, but has been updated to include WhatsApp data.
