Fuel Availability: What is Causing the Price Increase?

Regarding the fuel crisis, Fadi Abu Shakra, a representative of the fuel distributors' union, indicated in a call with "Anbaa" that there is no fuel crisis. He revealed that the Central Bank of Lebanon has delayed transferring the required funds since before the elections, leading distributors to secure part of the money to get through the election period and prevent a crisis that could affect voters' transportation to their villages. He stated that the day after the elections, the Sayrafa platform was not operational, and by Tuesday, the stock had been depleted. However, fuel was delivered normally yesterday, so there is absolutely no crisis. The reason for the increase in fuel prices is linked to the global rise in oil prices.
