Liverpool Roars Back, Sweeping Bournemouth with Nine Goals to None

Liverpool sprang to life, overwhelming their visitors Bournemouth with a remarkable nine goals without reply, securing their first win of the English Premier League season after four rounds. Liverpool ended the first half leading by five goals, scored by Luis Díaz, Harvey Elliott, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Roberto Firmino, and Virgil van Dijk in the 3rd, 6th, 28th, 31st, and 45th minutes, respectively.

In the second half, Bournemouth defender Chris Mepham inadvertently scored the sixth goal for Liverpool in the 46th minute. Firmino then returned in the 62nd minute to net his second goal and the seventh for the team, followed by Fabio Carvalho who scored the eighth goal, before Díaz capped off the goal fest with the ninth.

This victory marks Liverpool's first of the current season after drawing 2-2 with Fulham in their opening match, followed by a home draw against Crystal Palace at 1-1, and a loss to Manchester United by 1-2 in the previous round. With this win, Liverpool raised their points tally to five, temporarily placing them eighth, while Bournemouth's points remain at three, keeping them in 15th place.
