North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ranked third among the most searched politicians on the internet worldwide this year. The German company "Statista," specializing in market and consumer data, reported that users searched for Kim Jong Un an average of 1.9 million times per month. U.S. President Joe Biden took the first place with 7 million searches monthly, followed by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson with 2 million. Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel came in fourth (1.4 million searches), followed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (1.2 million) and French President Emmanuel Macron (900 thousand). According to Google Trends analysis, the most searched topic regarding leader Kim was weight loss. Kim appeared significantly thinner during a meeting of the ruling Workers' Party's political bureau last June. The National Intelligence Service of South Korea stated last October that it believes Kim has lost 20 kilograms from his weight of 140 kilograms and appears to suffer no health issues.
