Mohamed Salah is a star and an icon both on and off the pitch. A touching scene unfolded during Liverpool's match against Watford last Saturday in the 31st round of the English Premier League, featuring an Irish child who adores the Egyptian star. The website "Liverpool Echo" reported that 8-year-old Oscar traveled for two days to attend his favorite team Liverpool's match at Anfield for the first time in his life, just to see his favorite star, Mohamed Salah.
The (ESPN FC) account posted a video on Twitter showing young Oscar shedding tears of joy upon seeing his idol Salah warming up before the "Reds" match at Anfield. He documented these happy moments himself on his phone, barely able to believe what his eyes were seeing, as conveyed by Sky News Arabia.
According to "Liverpool Echo," Oscar's aunt said on Sunday: "He had to take the slow boat from Belfast on Friday and is currently somewhere near the Isle of Man. He will be extremely happy when I tell him that this tweet has been seen by many, over 450,000 people." She added, "He eats, breathes, and sleeps thinking about Liverpool, even though his brother and father support Tottenham." She continued, "Oscar's life hasn’t been easy since he was young and still suffers from allergies and other issues, but Liverpool has stolen his heart."
