Drug Trafficking in a Rented Car!

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued the following statement: Through monitoring and tracking drug traffickers within the capital Beirut with the aim of apprehending them, a patrol from the Beirut Police Investigation Unit managed to arrest one of the traffickers in the Shatila roundabout area in a rented white "Opel" vehicle. His name is A. T. (born in 1994, of Iraqi nationality). During the search of him and the vehicle, the following items were found:

- 48 packets containing approximately 0.25 g of base cocaine each

- 37 packets containing approximately 0.5 g of cocaine each

- 10 large packets containing approximately 1 g of cocaine each

- An amount of $745 and 20,760,000 Lebanese Lira.

The arrested individual and the seized items were handed over to the relevant police station for the necessary legal actions to be taken, based on the instructions of the competent judiciary.
