"Lebanon Television" will start broadcasting a daily promotional segment for Lebanese medical industries, particularly those related to combating the COVID-19 pandemic, within its news bulletins.
The National News Agency reported that Lebanon Television will begin this initiative starting this evening, Monday, as part of a cooperation agreement signed between the Ministries of Information and Industry last June. The agency clarified that the aim of this segment is to familiarize local and foreign consumers with the quality of Lebanese medical products and to bolster the resilience of the industrial sector, activating its role in the health and economic rescue process.
The agency added that by dedicating coverage to promote Lebanese medical industries, "Lebanon Television" fulfills the desired integration between media production and industrial production, highlighting the important role that public media can play in supporting Lebanese industries. This segment will contribute to the resilience of the industrial sector and activate its role.
Minister of Industry Imad Hoballah previously emphasized the need to promote both industry and media, particularly creative media production, and to implement the agreement signed in this domain. He added that Lebanon has the opportunity to be a hub for media production or the media production industry.
Hoballah further stated that an agreement was reached to form a working team among the Ministries of Information and Industry initially, with other ministries such as Telecommunications joining later. There will be communication with the Minister of Telecommunications, with full support from the private sector to include it in this working group, especially media institutions.
