This goal marks Salah's eighth in the Champions League this season, and it is his first since returning to the "Reds" after participating with the Egyptian national team in the recent Africa Cup of Nations, where his team reached the final but lost to Senegal in a penalty shootout.
It is worth noting that the match between Inter and Liverpool will be repeated on the eighth of next month at Anfield, Liverpool's home ground, to determine who qualifies for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
