A TikTok user discovered her husband's infidelity after reading an advertisement in a newspaper celebrating the arrival of a second child from another woman. Amy Addison, 47, from Pennsylvania, shared her divorce story in a series of videos on TikTok, stating that she found out her husband was having a long-term affair just days before their tenth wedding anniversary when she was browsing through the newspaper and saw the news of the birth of his second child.
Amy, an emergency nurse, explained, "About a week before our tenth wedding anniversary, I was at my desk reading the newspaper. At that time, they published birth announcements that included the names of the parents, the baby's gender, the birth date, and the name of the hospital. When I saw my husband's name with another woman's name, I realized he was cheating on me."
Amy adds that she visited the hospital's website to find more details, explaining that the facility regularly posts pictures and information about newborns. There, she learned that her husband not only welcomed a baby just days earlier but also had a daughter with the other woman who was born more than a year prior.
In a series of 20 clips, Amy shared more details about the days following the discovery of her husband's infidelity, explaining that she confronted her husband about his affair after gathering her three children to leave the house.
Although her husband initially denied the other relationship, he eventually admitted to it, stating that it was a huge mistake and that he was willing to give up his children with the other woman. However, their marriage continued to deteriorate, and they entered a legal battle that ended in divorce a year after the discovery of the infidelity, according to the Daily Mail.
