A representative from the "National News Agency" reported the arrival of an Egyptian plane loaded with medical and food aid for the army at the Rafiq Hariri International Airport in Beirut.
The plane was greeted on the tarmac by the Minister of National Defense and Deputy Prime Minister Zeina Akar, Egyptian Ambassador Yasser Aloui, Army Commander representative Brigadier Simon Abu Jneid, and Airport Security Chief Brigadier George Doumit. On February 22, the Lebanese ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mr. Fawzi Kabara, announced the arrival of a Middle East Airlines plane loaded with medical supplies and oxygen devices, donated by the Lebanese community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in coordination with the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works, valued at 400,000 US dollars. Kabara explained that the aid includes oxygen devices and equipment for hospitals, municipalities, health centers, and household use, totaling ninety devices, noting that all these devices received from Saudi Arabia meet the highest global specifications. He emphasized that these devices will be distributed to beneficiaries exactly as the donors specified through the newly established electronic platform of the Lebanese embassy in Riyadh.
