WhatsApp has recently introduced a new feature that allows Android users to pause and resume voice message recordings. This feature was previously available only to WhatsApp users on iOS, but now it is reported that WhatsApp is testing the feature for Android users as well. According to a report from "WABetaInfo", WhatsApp has begun rolling out a new beta update for Android users. After the update, Android users will also be able to pause their voice note recordings on their smartphones.
How does the pause feature for voice message recordings work? The feature will function on Android in a similar manner to iOS. After the latest beta update, Android users will be able to see a new pause button when they swipe up after pressing the record button. Once paused, the same button will be used to resume the recording. This new feature will be useful for sharing lengthy recordings and will also save users time, as they will not have to re-record a voice note in case of any interruptions.
The report also revealed that the feature is currently only available for testing and is meant for WhatsApp Beta on Android. The company is expected to roll out the feature to more users with upcoming updates.
Additionally, the company recently added a new search shortcut for a few beta testers on Android, where the search shortcut has been added next to the video call icon, as reported by the Times of India.
