Many people rely on incorrect tips to maintain the lifespan and performance of their phone batteries. So, what are the best methods for preserving battery health? Regarding this topic, technical expert and senior specialist at the Russian Quality Control Authority, Sergey Kuzmenko, stated: "Many sales staff in electronics stores recommend customers fully discharge their phone battery and then recharge it, repeating this process when purchasing a new phone. This advice is relevant for nickel batteries that were used in phones over ten years ago; modern phones use lithium-ion batteries, and this advice is no longer applicable."
He added: "For modern smartphones, it is recommended to keep the battery charge level between 20% and 80%. It's also crucial not to leave the phone charging overnight, as this causes the battery to repeatedly fill and discharge during the night, which can damage it." The expert emphasized the "necessity of not using chargers or charging cables other than the original ones provided by the phone manufacturer, even if the original charger has begun to lose some of its charging capabilities."
