Significant Seizure by the Dahr al-Baidar Checkpoint

A statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, as follows: At 12:30 on August 21, 2022, the personnel at the Dahr al-Baidar checkpoint in the Regional Gendarmerie suspected three individuals aboard a passenger van traveling from Bekaa to Beirut. The suspects are Lebanese: M.D. (born in 1960), B.Y. (born in 1989), and M.R. (born in 1995). Upon searching them and the vehicle, approximately 6 kg of cocaine and crack cocaine were found, packaged in paper envelopes and plastic containers, intended for distribution. Legal action was taken against the detainees, and they, along with the seized substances, were handed over to the Regional Anti-Drug Office in Bekaa for further investigation, based on the directives of the competent judiciary.
