Title: Progress in French-Lebanese Communication Regarding Government Formation

According to information obtained by "Al-Joumhouria" from sources following the government formation process, communication lines between France and Lebanon have intensified after a US-French agreement to delegate the Lebanese file to Macron, particularly concerning government formation.

The newspaper reported that in conjunction with the anticipated visit of the designated Prime Minister to France, communications between the French and Lebanese officials are being monitored, along with the movement of the French ambassador in Lebanon. However, according to the sources, all this information "does not mean that a breakthrough is imminent, but rather there can be reliance on external-driven governmental movement to break the deadlock and the lethal stagnation." The newspaper had previously mentioned on several occasions that informed political circles reported the initiation of French efforts towards Lebanese government formation and "removing the obstacles that hinder its formation," following Macron's receiving considerable momentum from the United States and the endorsement of his initiative by the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.

On the other side, however, a more pessimistic perspective from informed circles suggests that the renewed involvement of French President Emmanuel Macron carries a positive implication, but it is necessary to wait and see the repercussions of this intervention and what initiatives it will bring to end this "farce" and achieve a genuine solution, provided that any new French initiative or proposal is binding for its implementation and government formation, as the country can no longer endure a repetition of the initial scenario based on unproven wishes.
