A Egyptian man died from a heart attack while chasing his wife in the street after she fled from him following a quarrel between them, in a recent case of incidents that have become a phenomenon in Egypt lately. The incident occurred in the city of Kafr Shukr, north of Cairo, where the Qalyubia Security Directorate received a report about a husband’s death following a dispute with his wife due to ongoing conflicts between them.
Investigations revealed that the husband, named "K. A. M.", a worker, died from a heart attack while running in the street after his wife, who had escaped from him during their quarrel. It appeared that severe disagreements arose between the couple, leading to an argument that escalated into a fight inside the home. During this altercation, the wife fled to avoid the attack, and as the husband tried to catch her, he collapsed.
Witnesses and passersby attempted to provide first aid to the husband, and he was taken to the hospital, but he passed away. Doctors confirmed his death was due to a severe heart attack. A report of the incident has been filed, and the prosecution is investigating the matter.
In recent times, incidents of domestic violence have increased in Egypt; a wife killed her husband in Tukh, Qalyubia, a doctor killed his physician wife in Dakahlia, and a wife from Qena killed her children and attempted to poison her husband with juice after entering into an illicit relationship with her lover. Last Wednesday, the Luxor Criminal Court in southern Egypt sentenced a husband to death by hanging for killing his wife by burying her alive in a pit in their home due to marital disputes.
