In the third quarter, the visitors surged back, dominating the game with a 38-20 run to take an 89-82 lead. The Clippers attempted to come back, briefly leading 112-111 with 46.1 seconds remaining, but Boston responded and regained the lead at 113-112, maintaining their advantage to secure the victory.
