Shimaa Saif Reveals the Reason Behind Her Name

The actress Shimaa Saif stated that she fell while performing in her new play, and the audience thought it was part of the show.

Shimaa mentioned in a television program, "I am doing a new comedic musical show, but I recently fell on stage, and thankfully the audience thought it was part of the play, and God was merciful, and it passed." She also noted the reason for her absence from the El Gouna Festival, saying, "We are organizing a festival at home with Dunia and Emy Samir Ghanem, and I take the microphone and make fun of everyone entering the red carpet, and I named it the International Critique Festival."

Regarding why she was named Shimaa, she said: "I was born on Eid al-Adha, and at that time, there was a movie called 'Al-Shimaa' on television, so they named me after that. My siblings were also named after things from television."

On another note, Shimaa Saif is awaiting the release of her new series "In Our House, a Robot" on CBC in the coming days, where she is taking her first lead role in the world of television drama.

The production companies Synergy and Roznama, producers of "In Our House, a Robot," have released the official promo, which revealed many surprises for the audience, the most notable being Shimaa Saif appearing completely bald.

The series stars Shimaa Saif, Amr Wahba, Leila Zahir, Hisham Jamal, and Dalal Abdel Aziz, and is written by Ahmed Mohy and Ahmed El-Mohamadi, directed by Waheed Halaafi.
