Social media star and businesswoman Kylie Jenner, part of the Kardashian family, has become the most followed woman on Instagram in the world, with her follower count exceeding 300 million. As of Thursday morning, her account had 301 million followers, making her the second most followed celebrity overall, behind football player Cristiano Ronaldo (389 million), while the official account of the social network itself holds the first spot (460 million).
Kylie Jenner, 24, gained her fame through her participation in the reality TV show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," alongside her sisters Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé Kardashian. She later founded the cosmetics company "Kylie Cosmetics" and pursued other profitable business ventures.
Previously, the wealthy young woman temporarily set a record on Instagram in 2018 with over 18 million likes for the announcement of the birth of her daughter, Stormi. This record was surpassed in 2019 by a photo of an egg published specifically as a challenge to Jenner, which has since amassed over 55 million likes.
However, Jenner's presence on Instagram has recently declined as she currently awaits the birth of her second child. This decline follows the tragic crowd surge incident that resulted in ten fatalities during a concert by her partner, rapper Travis Scott, at the "Astroworld" festival in Texas last November. Victims of the incident have filed several lawsuits against Scott.
