British police are searching for a "youth of Asian appearance" who raped a 15-year-old girl at a beach in Bournemouth, located over 150 kilometers southwest of London in Dorset, after recently learning that the "rare rape" occurred while the famous beach was crowded with thousands of visitors on the afternoon of July 18. On that day, the girl was playing with a ball with a friend when it slipped from her hands and was caught by a teenager who was behind her in the water. According to reports from local media and the Crimewatch Live program on BBC 1, the girl, who was not shown on screen, stated that the teenager started retreating in the water with the ball in his hands, and she followed him to retrieve it, only to find herself surrounded by deep water that covered her entire body, obscuring her from the crowd on the beach.
"Started talking to me and touching my arms"
At that moment, the teenager seized the opportunity and "started talking to me and touching my arms, while another man was making my friend uncomfortable with his behavior," leading her to leave the water. She assumed her friend remained with the teenager willingly to get to know him as a new friend, but what was actually happening was rape, which she could not prevent as she was threatened with drowning in the water. "I was alone when he started pushing me into the deep water, and I couldn't feel my feet on the sea floor. That's when he began to touch me, and no one could see what was happening, so he was able to rape me." She said while crying that he followed her and asked for her number to call her, but her friend pushed him away.
Since that day, the girl has not left her home, as the ordeal was painful, and the attack was disgusting, leaving her "afraid and weak," fearing judgment from others, according to her account on the program, which produced a video reenactment of the incident. During the recollection, the girl mentioned that the teenager told her he was from Birmingham, named Dabby, and was 17 years old. The police created a composite image of the rapist using a facial recognition technique known as E-FIT, based on eyewitness descriptions, who noted that he had a dark complexion, was approximately 1.80 meters tall (between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches), was of slim build, with short, freshly trimmed dark black hair, and a partially shaved left eyebrow with a clear slit. He was wearing either a black or gray swimsuit and had a dangling earring in his left ear, although this was not depicted in the photo produced by the police.
