Nadia El Gendy: Age is Just a Number... I'm Denying Myself Sweets to Maintain My Body

The artist Nadia El Gendy shared a picture on her personal Instagram "story," quoting lyrics from Iraqi artist Kazem El Saher, writing, "The older you get, the more beautiful you become," to affirm the saying "age is just a number."

Nadia El Gendy appeared on the program "Live from the Duplex" with the famous puppet "Abla Fahita" in its seventh season, where her statements were quite revealing. She disclosed that there is a friendship between her and her ex-husband, producer Mohamed Mokhtar, commenting, "We have beautiful memories together, and genuine people are the ones who maintain such relationships. We also made the best films in Egyptian cinema together; he is a partner in success, struggles, and a long journey of hard work and success, not just an ex-husband."

She also recounted the story of the strangest admirer she ever encountered, stating, "There was a man who was really crazy; he would stand outside my building saying he wanted to see me, and when people stopped him, he would strip in the street until the police were called."

Nadia El Gendy concluded: "I really love my work, and thus I maintain my fitness; I do sports and physical training because I perform action roles. I have to wake up early, keep my body in shape, don’t smoke, and I’m denying myself sweets, which is why I maintain my body."
