Theft of Money and Jewelry from a Residence

A statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, which said: "On April 18, 2022, in the area of Ksara, unidentified individuals entered the home of a Syrian national and stole a sum of money and a quantity of jewelry estimated at around $50,000. They fled to an unknown location.

In response, the Zahle Judicial Detachment of the Judicial Police intensified its investigations and search operations, leading to the identification of one of the individuals involved in the crime and the determination of his location. They successfully apprehended him in the area of Chtaura, identified as:

- M. Q. (born in 1994, Syrian)

Upon interrogation, he admitted to participating in the crime alongside others. Following up, the location of another suspect was identified, and a patrol from the aforementioned detachment, with the assistance of a unit from the Jounieh Judicial Detachment, arrested the suspect in the area of Bouar, identified as:

- T. T. (born in 1982, Syrian), who is the mastermind of the operation and has previous convictions for theft and kidnapping.

Upon searching their residences, a portion of the stolen items was found. The recovered items were returned to the plaintiff, and the two arrested individuals were placed at the disposal of the competent judiciary based on his instructions, and a search warrant was issued for the third accomplice."
