Juventus Wins Against Inter and Maintains Hopes for the Top Four

The victory lifted coach Andrea Pirlo's team to 75 points in fourth place before the final round, equal with third-placed AC Milan. Napoli, in fifth place, can return to the top four if they defeat Fiorentina on Sunday, while Milan will secure their spot among the top four if they win against Cagliari, thanks to their superior head-to-head record over Juventus. Cuadrado told Sky Italia, "It was a tough match against a great team like Inter. Even with a numerical disadvantage, we managed to win; we sacrificed a lot, and I believe we achieved victory as a team."

Both teams received a penalty in a first half dominated by video assistant referee decisions. Cristiano Ronaldo missed his penalty, but the ball rebounded to him, allowing him to score, shortly followed by Romelu Lukaku finding the net from the spot. Juventus regained their lead at the end of the first half with a deflected shot from Cuadrado. After the break, Rodrigo Bentancur received a second yellow card, leaving Juventus with ten players.

Inter equalized with an own goal from Giorgio Chiellini, but Cuadrado secured the victory for Juventus with a penalty just two minutes before the end, while Inter's Marcelo Brozović was sent off for a second yellow card. Inter ended Juventus's dominance in the league title for nine consecutive seasons when they secured the title four rounds before the end and had the chance to deny their rival a place in the top four.

Juventus took the lead when Chiellini fell during a corner, and the referee awarded a penalty after reviewing it with the video assistant referee. Although Ronaldo missed the penalty, he recovered the ball to score. Inter equalized after a foul by Matthijs de Ligt on Lautaro Martínez, leading to a penalty awarded after VAR intervention, which Lukaku successfully converted. Right before the end of the first half, Cuadrado scored with a shot that took a deflection into Samir Handanović's goal.

Bentancur was sent off in the 66th minute after a foul on Lukaku, leaving Juventus with ten players. Pirlo decided to substitute Ronaldo in the last quarter of an hour to maintain the lead. The game came to life in the final ten minutes when Chiellini redirected a cross into his own net, but the referee ruled in favor of the Italian defender before VAR confirmed the goal. Three minutes later, Cuadrado won a penalty after a foul by Ivan Perišić, which the Colombian executed successfully, leading to Brozović receiving a second yellow card.
