Severe Bullying Leads Child to Suicide... and the School "Failed"

Severe Bullying Leads Child to Suicide... and the School

An American child committed suicide after enduring severe bullying for months, highlighting the dangers of this prevalent issue in schools worldwide. The family of 15-year-old Nate Bronstein claims that their son could have been saved if the principal of his Chicago school had taken decisive action against his bullies. As a result, the family seeks to have the principal removed from his new position due to his failure to prevent the tragedy and discipline the bullies, according to the "New York Post."

Mother Roslyn has filed a lawsuit against the school and its former principal, claiming $100 million in damages. The lawsuit states that the school and the principal ignored their late son's suffering for months, as he faced ruthless harassment. Nate hanged himself in January after months of bullying by his classmates, which began partly, according to his parents, with false rumors spreading around the school that Nate had not received the COVID-19 vaccine. His classmates then began to harass him with repeated questions about the vaccination and whether his parents were anti-vaccine.

The mother asserts that she contacted the school administration to put an end to the bullying, but no improvements were made; in fact, things worsened when a teacher directed harsh comments at him in front of students in the classroom. Strikingly, this incident occurred at a prestigious school in Chicago. After leaving the Chicago school, the principal moved to New York, where he will manage another esteemed school.

The mother warns all parents: "This will happen again (bullying and suicide). Their children will not be safe in that school under this principal's leadership." She added that the principal does not care about the students but is only interested in his own interests.
