The statement highlighted a wave of kidnapping, theft, and property violations in several neighborhoods in Zahlé, noting a different type of violation, an attack on dignity. A group of troublemakers from Taalabaya, led by an individual named Melhem Al-Hachimi, identified himself in a video posted on social media, clearly showing the attack on MP Selim Aoun's home.
The statement by the Zahlé Judicial Authority and the Judicial Council of the Free Patriotic Movement condemned this behavior, especially as the assailants shouted insults and obscene words.
