Dima Qindalaft Talks About Her Choice of the Peacock Character

The Syrian artist Dima Qindalaft topped search engines following the airing of the ninth episode of "The Masked Singer: Who Are You?" after revealing that she was behind the character "The Peacock" that has been featured in previous episodes.

Regarding the reason for choosing this character, Qindalaft said in her first media interview: "I wanted a character that appears as a man because I loved playing this game initially and I wanted to deceive the audience into thinking I’m a man under this character." The Syrian artist added, "The peacock is arrogant... the feathers it displays are certainly stunning and beautiful, and I was determined to do something that surprises the audience a bit."

As for the hardest challenge she faced in the program, Qindalaft stated: "There wasn’t anything difficult, but it was fun; however, to make the show look good, it needs calculations in the head and how close people are to you, they shouldn't get too close because the dancers were close to me, and I was very scared for people to get close to me in the show because the beak is harmful."

She continued, "I was upset about the idea… the peacock accompanied me for many episodes; I thought at first there was a foreignness between me and it, but I loved it very much, and the experience was very nice," adding, "I didn’t take the character lightly at all and I loved playing the game; I am a person if I commit to something, I go all the way."

It is worth mentioning that the show "The Masked Singer - Who Are You?" features four investigators: the stars Qusai Khouli, Cyrine Abdel Nour, Hassan El Raddad, and Muhannad Hamdi, alongside the host Anabella Hilal, whose mission is to discover the artist hidden behind a masked character.
