Lebanese Regions Prepare.. The Delivery of Ballot Boxes Has Started

This morning, the southern governorate completed the delivery of ballot boxes to the heads of polling stations and clerks who will head to their locations in preparation for managing the electoral process. The delivery process was supervised by Governor Mansour Dwa, under the monitoring and organization of security personnel. The number of boxes delivered was 299, including 100 for the city of Sidon and 199 for the villages in the Sidon-Zahrani district, distributed across 52 villages, of which 46 have municipal councils and 6 do not.

In the Nabatieh governorate, Delegate Hassan Faqih oversaw the delivery of ballot boxes and election materials to 506 appointed heads of polling stations and clerks, distributed across 253 polling places in 42 towns and villages from 7 AM today, as part of the preparations for the parliamentary elections tomorrow. Since last night, security forces were stationed around and inside the centers that will open in the morning for voters to cast their votes.

In Zahle, Bekaa Governor Judge Kamal Abou Joudeh supervised the distribution of 326 ballot boxes in Zahle District from 4 AM. Heads of polling stations arrived early at the Zahle courthouse and began collecting the boxes, divided into 8 groups within the courthouse.

In Batroun, the process of delivering ballot boxes to the heads of polling stations and their assistants began at 7 AM under the supervision of Qaimaqam Rojay Toubia. The Batroun villages are witnessing preparations for the electoral process, attended by internal security personnel who accompanied the heads of polling stations to the designated polling centers.

In Zgharta, the delivery process of ballot boxes to heads of polling stations and clerks tasked with managing the electoral process was completed at the Zgharta Qaimaqam’s office, amid organized logistical, administrative, and security measures.

In Jbeil, Qaimaqam Nathalie Maari Khoury and her team have been supervising the distribution of ballot boxes for the parliamentary elections to heads of polling stations and clerks at the Jbeil courthouse since 4 AM, alongside Security State office personnel led by Major Rabi Elias. Maari implemented modern mechanisms to distribute the heads of stations across the 179 polling centers located in 87 municipalities in the Jbeil District. Municipal police also closed the street leading to the courthouse to facilitate the process.

In Kesrouan, the delivery of ballot boxes to 198 heads of polling stations began at 7 AM, accompanied by security personnel, at the municipal stadium in Jounieh, under the supervision of Qaimaqam Pierre Kassab.

In Hermel, the delivery of ballot boxes to heads of polling stations commenced at 6:30 AM, under the supervision of Qaimaqam Talal Qattaya, with 99 boxes being distributed, corresponding to the existing polling stations in Hermel District.

In Baabda, the delivery of ballot boxes, which began at 4:30 AM, to heads of polling stations at the Baabda courthouse, was completed under the supervision and presence of Mount Lebanon Governor Judge Mohammed Makawi.
