Title: Halima Under Investigation for Indecency, Released on Bail

The Cyber Crimes Department in Kuwait announced that Kuwaiti media figure Halima Boland has been referred to the Public Prosecution on charges of intentionally offending public morals. A statement from a social media account indicated that the media personality will be investigated by Kuwaiti authorities.

Boland recently faced a wave of criticism after posting a video showing her exiting a car surrounded by security personnel, heading to a fashion show. Comments flooded in from followers attacking the media figure, especially after Kuwait announced a general lockdown, labeling Boland as "unfortunate".

The Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Rai" stated that the media figure had posted images on her social media accounts that investigators deemed inappropriate for public morals and not in line with the conservative customs and traditions of Kuwaiti society. This prompted them to summon her and refer her to the Public Prosecution for investigation regarding her intentions to offend public decency. The newspaper reported that the famous media figure stated before the prosecution, "The photos I posted were not intended to offend morals."

The Public Prosecution in Kuwait decided to release the famous media personality on bail after investigating her on charges of indecency. It is noteworthy that Kuwaiti authorities had previously issued a travel ban on Boland and confiscated her assets, monitoring her accounts in case of a sudden increase in her balance, related to allegations of money laundering currently in the spotlight in Kuwait following a wide investigation involving several celebrities, including "Farah Al-Hadi, Fawz Al-Fahd, Dr. Khulood, and Nouha Nabil." At the time, Boland commented on the matter, "First, I would like to thank everyone who inquired about me from all over the Arab countries. Secondly, I am grateful that we are in a country of institutions, constitution, and law, and no one is above the law because we are all equal and respect the integrity of Kuwaiti law."
