Welcoming the Light: Artist Wissam Al-Amir Describes His Wife as the Sun of His Life After Her Passing Due to COVID-19

Lebanese artist Wissam Al-Amir confirmed that the passing of his wife, dancer Nariman Aboud, was a significant shock and tragedy in itself, stating that she was the sun of his life. He expressed his hope that God would give him the strength to continue his life's journey.

In a call with Al-Jadeed TV during the program "Art News," Wissam Al-Amir explained that his late wife was a princess who spread joy and love wherever she went, and she reaped what she sowed through the affection of the people towards her. He extended his gratitude to everyone who supported him and reached out during this difficult time.

Wissam Al-Amir said, "I want to tell everyone that Nariman was athletic, ideal, and committed to eating healthily. She was neither a smoker nor a drinker, but unfortunately, she contracted the coronavirus, which required her hospitalization for health monitoring. However, her condition quickly worsened, leading to her suffering from blood clots in her heart and lungs and the failure of liver functions."

He continued, "I do not want to dwell on the dark picture; let her image remain beautiful in the eyes of the people, especially since her death is a disaster that can be somewhat compensated by the love of the people which may heal the wounds."

Wissam Al-Amir called on everyone to take preventive measures and receive the COVID-19 vaccine, emphasizing its necessity during these times. He confirmed that he registered on the electronic platform to receive the vaccine to put an end to this virus, which has caused great sadness to many people and taken their loved ones.

It is noteworthy that the Lebanese artist Wissam Al-Amir had previously announced via his personal Twitter account the news of his wife Nariman Aboud's passing with words filled with sorrow and pain, saying: "O most loyal wife and kindest mother, O symbol of sacrifice and loyalty, you who won the hearts of loved ones, family, and friends; you were with me and around me everywhere, towering like a palm tree. Where have you gone, O light of my eyes? You left me alone and strange in this fleeting world. What value does life have on some days if the dearest people become dust? May God have mercy on you, O princess."
