Lebanese broadcaster Rabia Zayyat revealed today, Thursday, that she has been infected with the novel coronavirus via her social media pages.
Rabia confirmed that despite all the preventive measures she took, she was unable to avoid infection due to the nature of her work. In a tweet on "Twitter," Zayyat wrote: "I tried to protect myself from the coronavirus, but due to my profession, I could not avoid infection. The result is positive with annoying symptoms, relying on the Lord of the Worlds."
Her fans and colleagues in the artistic community wished her health and safety, including Lebanese actor Youssef El Khal, who commented, "Get well soon," and Carol Samaha, who wrote, "I wish you a speedy recovery, my dear Rabia." Journalist Ricardo Karam advised her saying, "Be strong and stay optimistic; God is always good," while Egyptian actor Nabil Elhelw wished her, "A thousand recoveries; may it pass well," and Amer Zayan added, "Take care and may you never see harm."
It is noted that Rabia Zayyat currently hosts the show "Shou El Qissa" aired on LTV, and it remains unclear if the show will be temporarily suspended until her recovery and the end of her home quarantine period.
