Member of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc and member of the Parliamentary Health Committee, MP Amin Shari, confirmed that an amount of 80 billion has been allocated to distribute to needy families.
In a talk with Al-Nour Radio, Shari stated that a total lockdown should last for 3 weeks or more; otherwise, it will not be effective from a medical and scientific standpoint, according to the guidance of the World Health Organization. He added that the World Bank has not cooperated with Minister of Health Hamad Hassan.
Shari indicated that in the file of private hospitals, the Minister of Health has decided to reduce their grades in case they do not provide the required intensive care beds, calling on private hospitals to take responsibility in facing this pandemic in Lebanon, or else they should be legally held accountable.
Shari pointed out that the law approved by the parliament no longer requires the approval of the World Health Organization for any vaccine that may be brought to Lebanon, confirming that 30,000 vaccines will arrive in Lebanon at the beginning of February. He noted that there will be 33 centers across all Lebanese territories to administer the vaccine to Lebanese citizens, along with the issuance of vaccination cards.
Shari addressed the economic bodies, stating, "Between the economic situation and the health situation, I see the health situation as the priority."
